Imagine the amazing things you could accomplish if you had a dog who could joyfully and confidently work away from you on the agility course!

* You send your dog to the weave poles 20 feet away, finish the course, and hear your friends cheer as you earn your Championship title...

* You layer the dog walk and easily get into position to handle the tricky back-side jump, and you're not even out of breath...

* Your "Rocket-Speed" dog accelerates through the last three obstacles and across the finish line instead of turning back and barking at you to catch up...

...all because your team has the skills and confidence to work at a distance.

With Agility FUNdamentals for Distance, Course 1: Foundations and Independent Obstacle Performance, what you've only imagined can be your new reality.

This is the course you need to get started so you can confidently step into the agility ring with your dog and NAIL that distance sequence, send him away while you take a shortcut, or start your new dog off right.

I Want Distance With My Dog

“...a great course for anyone just starting out who would like to better understand the fundamentals of agility and distance. I would also recommend this course for anyone who may already be competing but would like to improve their distance skills.”  - Melissa J.

My first agility dog was a natural, and he was fast.  I was…not.  I had to learn the hard way and make many mistakes before I developed a system that worked for running him at a distance.  It’s been refined and tested on my subsequent agility dogs and many students’ dogs.

Here's What Students Had to Say

Barb Y.

“The presentation is awesome. The demonstration videos, while using exaggerated…body positioning, really allowed the skill to be very clear. The course organization was logical. I like the what, why and how format.”

Kristen G.

Lorrie is a calm, patient instructor with a gift for problem solving. This course was easy to follow and a great way to begin distance from the ground up. The workbook helped to track progress and ensure we were pacing in a good way. The exercises were easy to set up and practice, and the troubleshooting videos supported exactly what we were running into, so it was easier to fix. Having been to several of Lorrie's [in-person] seminars with other dogs, I knew I would be able to follow along with this course with my young dog despite me being more of a hands-on/in-person learner. This course is FANTASTIC!”

Melissa J.

"I really enjoyed working through Lorrie's Agility FUNdamentals for Distance. I found it easy to follow. Each lesson was packed with great information that I could readily apply to my own training sessions."

Sounds Great - Count Me In!

Hi!  I’m Lorrie Reynolds.  I’ve been involved with dog agility since 2002, and started teaching weekly agility and family obedience classes along with weekend distance seminars in 2005.

This online course is based on my in-person distance seminars that have been helping students since 2005.  It includes all of the material about independent performance that I wish I had time to teach over a weekend.

After struggling to keep up with my first agility dog, and developing a system that worked for him and hundreds of students, I wanted to make it available to more people. My dogs have placed first in National Championships multiple times and earned over 50 Championship titles in three different venues. I want you to enjoy the same successful agility career, and have FUN doing it!

The Benefits of Online Learning for Dog Agility

While learning in person has its advantages, online training has a lot going for it!

* No driving for ½ hour or more, just to have two or three short turns on the course

* Less expensive (by far!) than traveling to a seminar and staying in a hotel, especially with the current gas prices

* Learn at your pace instead of the group’s.  Feeling motivated?  Knock out 3 or 4 exercises in one session!  Dog not up to training today?  Spend your time playing with him and make it up tomorrow

* You can rewatch the video if you missed an essential concept or you didn't quite understand it until you tried it yourself

* The Course Workbook provides a place to take notes, and the pause button on the video gives you time to get it done

* Downloadable exercise maps let you revisit them in the future as your team gains experience and confidence

* Written answers to your questions to look back on so you're not stuck, stumped, and unable to remember what the instructor said when you asked two weeks ago
